Training Data: Analysis and Visualization

Fill in the fields below to input the details for your language program. This data will be aggregated and shown in the charts per language.

How to calculate: Enter the total number of students who enrolled in this specific language throughout the year. For instance, if you had 25 new enrollees in spring and 20 in fall, the annual total would be 45.

How to calculate: This represents the overall percentage of students who progressed in the language or maintained their level. For example, if 30 out of 40 enrollees either stayed at their ILR level (e.g., 1 to 1) or advanced (e.g., 1 to 1+ or 1 to 2), the success rate is (30/40)*100 = 75%.

How to calculate: Sum up all instructional hours provided during the year for this language. For example, if you taught 2 hours a day, 5 days a week, for 12 weeks total, then 2 × 5 × 12 = 120 hours.

How to determine: Estimate the typical ILR proficiency level of the students who enrolled. For instance, if most students entering this program were at ILR 0+, you’d enter ILR 0+ here.

How to choose: Indicate whether the course was delivered entirely online, in a physical classroom, or through a blend of both.

How to calculate: Gather all student feedback scores for this language and compute the average. For example, if five students gave ratings of 4, 4.5, 3.5, 5, and 4, the average is (4+4.5+3.5+5+4) / 5 = 4.2.

How to calculate: Collect the instructor ratings for this language (across all classes taught in the year) and average them out. If multiple instructors taught this language, average the ratings for all instructors combined.

The pie chart displays the total number of students (yearly) for each language. Each segment corresponds to a specific language, and its size represents the proportion of students enrolled in that language.

This bar chart visualizes the success rate for each language. You can quickly see which languages have the highest or lowest percentage of students who maintained or progressed in their ILR level.

This bar chart shows both the student feedback scores and instructor ratings for each language. Compare these two metrics to understand overall satisfaction with the courses and the quality of teaching.
